A software engineer by training, he founded and led Ritmoteca.com — the world's first legal music download service and a forerunner to Napster and iTunes — licensing catalog from more than 60 record labels and partnering with Microsoft, AOL, Nokia, Motorola and RealNetworks. He later served as in-house counsel for Universal Music Group across the U.S. Latin market, Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
